JOSH S. ROSE

About

Josh S. Rose is a Los Angeles-based visual artist working in both photography and film, known for his collaborations with world-renowned artistic directors, choreographers & dancers, as well as musicians, actors, and fine artists. He is a sought-after creator for his conceptual and evocative shoots that bring out meaning and depth in his works. Rose’s work has been featured all around the world: Vogue, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Dance Magazine, Variety, and many others.

 

Rose spent over twenty years inside large agencies as EVP, Group Creative Director and then Chief Creative Officer, within Interpublic Group of Agencies (IPG). He ran numerous high-profile accounts (Volkswagen, Dr Pepper, Fisher-Price, Coors Light, Mitsubishi, Playstation, DIRECTV, TGI Friday’s) and he pitched, won and launched The Affordable Care Act across the United States. Rose’s work has received numerous awards, both in commercial and fine art, including top honors at Cannes.

Rose is a current college instructor at CalArts, Artist-in-Residence at the Los Angeles Dance Project, has served as a Leica Akademie Instructor, instructor of Documentary Photography & Photojournalism at UCSD, and was an Artist-in-Residence at CalArts.
